At about 1:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible death in the village of Cardington. With the assistance of the Cardington Police Department, sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene to find 44-year-old Mark Sharder dead inside the residence.
The Morrow County Coroner Dr. Lee pronounced Shrader dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
19-year-old Carlton Love, is charged with one count of aggravated murder, a felony of the first degree.
17-year-old Katelin Shrader called 911 saying she and Love had returned to the home, finding the front door wide open and her father dead in his bed from an apparent gunshot wound.
Several hours later, Love was taken into custody for questioning.
Love is being held at the Morrow County Correctional Facility on $1,000,000 bond and is expected to appear in court Monday for arraignment.
The case remains under investigation by the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, Cardington Police Department and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification.
