The Tri-Rivers Annual Pizza Challenge will be Thursday, April 10, 4 pm to 7 pm in the Giauque Auditorium at the Career Center. The public is invited to be part of tasting and selecting their favorite pizza. The cost is $5 for adults, and $3 for children 12 and under.

This event, sponsored by the Tri-Rivers National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), features friendly competition among area pizzerias, including Dominos, East of Chicago, Donatos, Papa Murphy's and Genova's.

"Donato's is our two-time winner, but the competition is strong," said NTHS Adviser Bill Karcher.

Half of the proceeds from the event will help support NTHS activities, including a fall and spring dance, talent show, two tapping ceremonies, two inductions and a peer mentoring program. The other half will be donated to the Humane Society.

Thousands of schools and colleges throughout the U.S. have a chapter of the honor society on their campus. Karcher said that NTHS encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today's highly competitive workplace.

Tickets for the Pizza Challenge may be purchased by stopping by the main office or receptionist desk at the Career Center or from any NTHS member. They will also be available at the door.
