The Republicans now have a candidate for the attorney general election in November.
The party is expected to announce the candidacy of D. Michael Crites today.
Crites is the managing partner of a Columbus Law Firm and a former federal prosecutor under Ronald Reagan and George Bush. He has a military legal background as well.
Crites will face Ohio State Treasurer Richard Cordray in the November 4th general election to fill the unexpired term left vacant following former Attorney General Marc Dann’s resignation.
