WDCM 97.5 is holding the inaugural "Go For The Green" Golf Scramble on Saturday, September 20th and they're giving golfers millions of reasons to play. That is because someone could win $25,000, a brand new Pontiac G5, or even one million dollars.
Yes, you read that right: $1,000,000. That is a one followed by 6 - count 'em - 6 zeroes.
The day starts with registration from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM at Whetstone Golf Club on State Route 95 in Claridon. The tournament will commence with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
The cost is $300 per team, which includes a round of golf, cart, a steak dinner with draft beer (for golfers 21 and over), door prizes, eligibility for proximity prizes, a chance to win several hole-in-one prizes, and entry into the big money events.
During the course of play, a hole-in-one on hole #18 will be worth $25,000, courtesy of Modern Woodmen of America. A hole-in-one on any other hole could win you a $500 Visa Gift Card, a set of Nike Irons, or a Bose Music System.
Following the round, 20 randomly chosen golfers will compete in a test of putting ending in a 50-foot putt. Sink all your putts and you'll drive home in a brand new Pontiac G5 Coupe courtesy of Marion Community Credit Union and Craig Smith Auto Group of Galion.
Then its on to the opportunity of a lifetime.
Five golfers will be drawn randomly to take a shot at joining the millionaire's club, courtesy of Delmar Distributing of Waldo.
Each of those golfer's will take a swing at the scenic 18th hole. One shot for one million dollars. Sink it and change your life forever times five. That is because each golfer is eligible to win $1,000,000 each. No sharing prizes. If more than one person hits the golfer's miracle, each golfer will win their own pile of cash.
