Sheriff Hoping For Tips With Facial Reconstruction

10-10-2008

Marion County Sheriff Tim Bailey is hoping a facial reconstruction could help in identifying a body found over a year ago.

The Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the skeletal remains of a female located in northeast Marion County on March 10th, 2007.

The remains were sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia where forensic experts recently completed a facial reconstruction. The photograph represents what the woman may have looked like at the time of her death. The hair style is the artist’s estimation and may have been worn differently than the victim.

The female is described as: between 15 - 22 years of age; approximately 5’3” to 5’ 9”; and between 125 and 150 pounds.

While the decedent is believed to be Caucasian, the possibility that the she was of Hispanic or Asian descent has not been ruled out.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 740-382-8244, Marion Ohio Law Enforcement TIPS Line at 740-375-TIPS (8477) or their local law enforcement agency.
