Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has ordered all 53 Ohio counties using electronic voting machines to provide paper ballots to those wishing to vote the old fashioned way.
Brunner told county board of elections they must have paper ballots equal to 25% of the total number of voters in the 2004 presidential election.
Sticking with the electronic machines could save candidates a long night. Other counties, like Franklin, are expecting returns not to be released until the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 5th.
Electronic votes will be tallied first when polls close at 7:30 PM, followed by paper ballots.
Posters must be visible at polling locations warning voters they have the choice of how to cast their ballot.
