Ohio Driver’s licenses are getting a face lift. After an initial trial run in Columbus, Cleveland, and Toledo, the new licenses will start going statewide this week.
Changes to the card include:
• The card will be displayed vertically instead of horizontally
• The main photo will appear in the top left-hand corner with the ghost image on the right side of the card
• The complete list of driving restrictions will no longer be on the back. Only those applicable to the driver featured will be displayed
• The information lines will be numbered to assist law enforcement
All Bureau of Motor Vehicles will make the switch by June.
Old ID’s will still be valid until their expiration dates.
