Congressman Jim Jordan is accepting applications from area students interested in attending any of the nation’s service academies, including the US Military Academy in West Point; the US Naval Academy at Annapolis; the Air Force Academy in Colorado; and the Merchant Marine Academy in King’s Point.

2009 applicants must be between 17 and 23 years old on July 1st, 2010, unmarried, and a US citizen.

Those who seek nomination through Rep. Jordan’s office have to be a permanent resident of the 4th congressional district, including Marion and Morrow counties.

The deadline for completed applications is October 16th.
